Don King, has more than 30 years hands-on experience in service and repairs on existing commercial door installations (interior and exterior). Don is an expert door and lock contractor.

About his Company

Don King began his career in the door industry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that spans through the past three decades. In the beginning, Minute Man Door concentrated on repair and replacement of residential entry doors, and commercial wood doors, then shortly later developed into a retail store.

Few years later, A 24 Hour Door Service was formed to meet what Don recognized as a growing demand in the industry that now offered replacement and installations of all types of doors that included garage doors, hollow metal doors, patio, sliding and folding doors, commercial and industrial, cold storage, (manual and automatic) storefront doors. Don provided self performing repairs on all types of these doors as well as access control devices, mortise lock sets, cylindrical lock sets, panic devices with concealed and surface mounted vertical rod, electrical locks, electric strikes, cipher locks, pivots, hinges and various types of surface mount, concealed and floor hydraulic closers to name a few.

Over the years he has personally performed thousands of repairs and installations on all types of pedestrian and vehicular doors and there related components from some companies such as Us Aluminum, Vistawall, Kawneer, Trulite, Dor-o-Matic, Keene-Monroe, Besam, Horton, Nabco/Gyro Tech, and Stanley Magic Door. Overhead Door, Raynor, Windsor, Clopay, Wayne Dalton, Link Controls, Chamberlain. While demand for service continued, an expansion of services to other areas was necessary over the next several years including Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Newark, Buffalo, Rochester, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. As a result, the door repair service educational curriculum was needed for constant training of additional technicians in the field which became necessary as the markets continued to expand with Don’s hands-on approach to a basically what was to be unlimited service in the door repair industry.

Chicago became home for what Atlas Door Repair.com is today and most operations. He continues with all facets of a comprehensive services portfolio on all types of commercial doors and their related hardware, automatic door and operators, going further by adding expansions to service Minneapolis, St. Paul and Indianapolis.Atlas Door Repair was later sold.

We relocated to Atlanta area were Liberty Door Repair was created.  Liberty Door Repair services all types of commercial doors.
Don remains highly specialized, active in service and is considered an expert in the industry.
